From Splashes of Silver to Ballerina Skirts - 5 Spring Trends Every Bride Will Love

With Charleston Fashion Week fresh in our rear-view mirror, we barely caught our breath before the beauties on parade for New York’s Spring Bridal Fashion Week.

After oohing and aahing over debuts from our exclusive designers, such as Ivy & Aster’s new IXA Collection, Lea Ann Belter’s Spellbound Collection, and new lovelies by Rebecca Schoneveld (Pssst, some of these new gowns will be visiting Southern Protocol Bridal for her trunk show from 5/3 to 5/12), we expected to see an evolution of the looks showcased in the Fall.

Instead, however, we are seeing reinterpretations of motifs from years before…and we are ecstatic about it! Check out the five Spring bridal trends every bride-to-be will want to try and a few of our top picks that showcase them.

Splashes of Silver

We are always ones to swoon over metallics, so there is no surprise that we cannot get enough of cool, frosted hues woven into and accenting bridal gowns.

Curve-Hugging Corsets

This bustier look is putting the va-va-voom back into bridal with structured bodices often accompanied by full, flowing skirts.

3-D Florals

Florals have always had a place in bridal fashion, but we are not talking about your mother’s embroidered bouquets – this trend is the surfacing of textured floral appliques that bloom straight off the gown itself for a striking, contemporary look.

Minimal

Have you heard the adage, “less is more”? These gowns leverage that approach to the enth degree making you as the bride the focal point. Stunning is an understatement for these understated gowns.

Ballerina Skirts

From the red carpet to the aisle, these ultra-feminine, tulled skirts are making a comeback. Feeling adventurous? Tee-length lets shoe-lovers rejoice by delivering the wow-factor, while still showing off your stellar stilettos.
