About Our
Principles and Buyers,
Ann E. Rice Ervin & Lisa S. Rice
On May 23, 2009, Ann E. Rice married her high school sweetheart, Tucker Ervin, just weeks after graduating from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While preparing for her wedding and new career, Ann E. relied on her mother, Lisa S. Rice, whose artistic vision and event expertise brought her big day to life. Their shared love for bridal fashion and timeless elegance sparked an idea that would later shape Charleston’s bridal scene.
From meticulously chosen monograms and chic decor to stunning Legends by Romona Keveža gowns, Ann E. and Lisa cherished every moment of the planning process. Their wedding, designed by the talented Tara Guérard, featured tents draped in silver, white, and ice blue, walls adorned with white roses, and a perfect balance of city chic and Southern charm—a tribute to Charleston, SC.
In 2016, Ann E. and Lisa partnered with Michelle Miller of Southern Protocol Boutique, rebranding as Southern Protocol Bridal, specializing in luxury bridal fashion. To expand offerings, they merged with Maddison Row Bridal Chic in 2019, bringing on expert stylist Lindsey Principi. With Ann E. and Lisa leading the vision, the boutique evolved into Maddison Row South, Charleston’s premier bridal shopping destination.
