Finding The One - Rachel's Story

THE LOVE STORY

Steve and Rachel met in September of 2016 through a mutual friend and began dating later that year while they were both in DC working their first jobs out of college.

Several years later, they made the move together to Charleston when Steve was accepted to medical school at MUSC. He proposed in March of 2021 when they two went for a sunrise walk on Folly Beach. She was absolutely shocked, although, looking back, a sunrise walk seemed a little suspicious.

FINDING THE ONE

“My sister and mom travelled from Charlotte to dress shop with me in Charleston. As a new bride, you don't know what to expect and Maddison Row South totally blew me away.

I had an idea of the vibe I wanted for a dress but limited knowledge on fabric or silhouette. I appreciated that we walked through all of the dresses and were able to pick a wide range of styles. I liked so many but truly didn't feel like the one until I put on my Jesus Piero dress.

Once that was a clear front runner, I didn't know if I was going to have to immediately make a decision or hold the dress. (MRS Co-Manager) Michelle’s calm demeanor and the understanding that this a huge decision allowed me to feel one hundred percent confident before purchasing the dress a few days later.

From there, the process was seamless. She kept me updated when my dress arrived, helped me through my fittings and deciding on a veil. I had so much confidence - even during my last fitting while things were being boarded up for the hurricane!

So many things about wedding planning can be stressful but the dress shopping experience was an absolute dream while making memories with my mom and sister that I will cherish forever. I'm so grateful a full service option like Maddison Row South exists.”
