Less Is More – A Newfound Love for Minimal Bridal Gowns

Updated: Aug 2, 2019

They say less is more and when it comes to timeless bridal gowns, we tend to agree.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a good lace, dramatic drape or bit of sparkle as much as the next girl, but there’s something special about this renewed love for minimal wedding gowns.

It may be because with a minimal wedding dress, the bride to be truly wears the gown without any risk of the gown wearing her. These striking silhouettes create a gorgeous canvas that will give you ample room to paint.

From our perspective, it’s a rush to see a bride take a chic, clean gown and completely transform the look with her signature hair style, a striking piece of heirloom jewelry, a bold shoe, stellar bridal sash or however she chooses to make the ensemble her own.

The options are endless!

Not sure where to start on the minimal gown front? Don’t worry – we have a few favorites from our Maddison Row South designers for you to consider.

Meryl by Sareh Nouri

A classic dream, this faille scoop neck ball gown features tailored pleated-princess seams and signature bow with a chapel train. Simply swoon-worthy!

Filipa (#906) by Jesus Piero

With a satin flared skirt, high-neck front and a deep V in the back, this beauty simply shows off and accentuates all the right places. Top it all off with a classic bow on the waist.
